  • Our patio covers are locally manufactured and designed for the northwest to provide an affordable and durable home improvement when looking to increase your homes usable outdoor living space.

The typical price range is $37 to $44 per square foot. Smaller covers, freestanding, or those requiring additional custom elements will have additional costs. Every project is unique with different variables and priced out accordingly.

  • Each patio cover project can have its own requirements. Since we custom manufacture in the shop before installation, most installations on site are just one day.

  • Patio covers are very low maintenance, but even the best low maintenance products require a little care.

Your patio cover is comprised of two very easy to care for products. Acrylic, which is basically the same material as the tail lights on your car, and powder coated aluminum for a structurally sound frame.

To care for your patio cover is easy. Rinsing your patio cover with fresh water from the garden hose regularly is the easiest way to maintain the product.

For annual cleaning just wash is it like you would your car. Even though the acrylic has a self cleaning feature, I have found that a more thorough annual cleanings is still necessary to keep your patio cover in the best condition.

Important! Do not stand on your patio cover to clean it. You could slip and fall. Your patio covers self cleaning feature make the surface extremely slick when wet.

I recommend you use a long handle RV brush to access the top of your patio cover from a secure position or location and to lightly scrub the top surface using car soap or a mild detergent in a five gallon bucket with water. Let the soap set for a few minutes loosening any pollen and grim then rinse with fresh water from a garden hose.

That’s it. Your patio cover is clean, will look fresh, and you will be set to enjoy another year in your awesome outdoor living space

  • Our patio covers are designed for high wind applications, and we have many securely installed throughout coastal and mountain areas.

  • The simple answer is no, we do not build on old frames. We want a frame that is soundly built with all the correct materials and hardware that is level with 12” on center joist. Remember, Wolf decking is guaranteed for 50 years, and we want the frame supporting it to do the same.

  • Yes, Wolf Decking is the only alternative decking we will provide and install for our clients. Why, because I believe Wolf is the best alternative decking, period. Why should you believe me; I’ve been evaluating and working with composites since 1994 when Trex was owned by Mobil Oil. I’ve lived the evolution of this industry, it all started with Trex, then we moved on to Timbertech in 2004.

In 2014 we were introduced to Wolf Decking, became Wolf Pros and have never looked back. Since 2014 we have not had one single call-back or issue with our Wolf Decking projects. It lasts, and it cleans up like the day it was installed year after year.

  • Yes, for those that prefer a real wood deck, Decks and Patio Covers will design and build decks with Arbor Wood thermally modified wood. Arbor Wood is a high-quality, performance-driven material, which sustains the natural beauty and design element of wood all without the use of harsh chemicals.

Decks and Patio Covers also builds tight knot cedar decks. By using a higher quality cedar with an EcoWood treatment this is a great value engineered option.

  • Small deck project are typically around a couple hundred square feet and it goes up from there. Outdoor living projects with decks a thousand square feet or more are very common these days.

*We do not accept rooftop deck projects.

  • All composites are comparable in cost. For Decks and Patio Covers a small project starts around $15,000 and larger more creative projects can go into six-figures. No matter the size of the project we always design and value engineering for resource efficiency.

  • No, we moved on from composite rail kits or wooden rail systems years ago. Wooden rails are high-maintenance and composite rail kits may be popular but lack the long-term durability and ease of maintenance that aluminum rail systems provide.

  • Yes, with our aluminum rail system we can create and install unique custom rail infills. If you have

something in mind we can talk about it. From stainless wire mesh, frosted glass, to a Scandinavian

design of Christmas trees cut from custom milled cedar, we can help you create a custom railing infill.

  • The powder coated paint finish is warranted for ten years and the aluminum will last a lifetime.

  • Cable rail can vary from $130 to $200 per lineal foot installed. It really comes down to the complexity of the project plus the number and length of runs. At Decks and Patio Covers, we value engineer our cable rail installs to give you the best cost.

  • Our process for building decks with wood surfaces is very similar to how we build our composite decks.

We use all the same high-quality fasteners and treatments to build the frames. Two difference that stand out are joist will typically be 16” on center for wood deck surfaces versus 12” for composite and the surface fasteners for cedar will be exposed. You can rest assure; it’s done right.

  • Tight knot cedar decks typically cost less and are a great value. Thermally modified white ash decks are a high-end product and comparable in cost to our Wolf composite decking projects.

  • We love Eco Wood treatment, it’s easy to use and the maintenance is close to nil. With most all other sealers of finishes on cedar you end up maintaining that sealer and finish year after year. With Eco Wood, it just speeds up the process of how cedar naturally preserves it’s self and it looks beautiful.
